Industrial Design Application

Due to the Law No.554  related with the Protection of the Industrial Designs; once an industrial  is applied, it is forwarded to examination for 3-5 months time.

If there is not any grounds of  refusal, the application is published on the monthly  Design Bulletin for 6 months.

The 6 months publication period is also opposition term for 3rd parties .

If there is not any opposition at the end of the publication period, the registration certificate has been issued.

The time to obtain registration is nearly about 10 months from the application date.

The protection period is 5 years from the application date and can be renewed for  every 5 years.upto 25 years in total protection period.

Multi design applications are allowed in Turkey .
